Hello there! Thought i’d start off with a few things I’m known for:
Loving sparkling wine and french fries
Accidentally reading until the sun comes up
Playing a little too much of whatever game I’m loving
Being a “little obsessed” with Disney
Most importantly…Nerding out of over design
My design journey started at a young age when I began tinkering with Photoshop. Self-driven and hungry to learn, I immersed myself in the world of design, constantly pushing my skills to new heights. After high school, I decided to take my passion to the next level by enrolling at The Art Institute of Dallas. During my time there, I made the most of every opportunity, from being a Student Ambassador and Resident Assistant to leading the Student Council and serving as Vice President of the Ad Club. Upon graduation, I received recognition for my contributions to the school and was honored with the Best Portfolio Award in my graduating class.
My post-graduation adventure led me to Walt Disney World, where I embarked on an internship and gained invaluable experience in leadership and management courses. This experience remains etched in my heart!
After returning back to Texas, I freelanced and joined a direct mail marketing company as a graphic designer. I realized my longing for a team-driven environment. This led me to become a Marketing Coordinator for a practice of plastic surgeons, where I delved into the print world and collaborated with magazines. My journey then led me to Texas Monthly, where I embraced the opportunity to further enhance my skills in print, digital, and events.
Eventually, I made my way back to Dallas to be closer to family. There, I was entrusted with the role of Art Director at Living Magazine, tasked with leading their rebranding efforts and creating design solutions for both advertisers and readers.
Over the years, my career has taken me on a remarkable journey, and one of the highlights has been marketing the city I hold close to my heart, Dallas. At Visit Dallas, I've concentrated on brand commitment and spearheaded creative innovations for a diverse audience. I'm incredibly fortunate to have found a supportive team that has helped me hone my strengths and fostered a spirit of collaboration.
